2024 Kia Seltos Facelift Teased, Debuts Later This Week In Los Angeles

Kia has teased the 2024 Seltos, ahead of its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on September 17th.

While the teaser images aren’t very revealing, the cat’s already out of the bag as the facelifted variant was introduced in South Korea this summer.

As a result, we can expect a modernized front fascia that adopts a larger and more prominent grille with illuminated accents. They’ll be joined by updated headlights and a new front bumper that features sportier intakes as well as a pronounced central opening.

The styling changes continue out back as the crossover has new taillights that are connected by an illuminated stripe. Further below, there’s a rugged bumper that eschews faux exhaust tips for relocated reflectors. We can also expect a more pronounced rear skid plate to emphasize the model’s all-wheel drive capability.

Inside, we can expect a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching 10.25-inch infotainment system. They should be joined by higher-quality switchgear and a minimalist shifter. The rest of the cabin should largely carryover, but we can also expect new air vents and other minor updates.

In Korea, the facelifted Seltos is offered with two different engines including a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 147 hp (110 kW / 149 PS) and 132 lb-ft (180 Nm) of torque. Customers can also opt for a turbocharged 1.6-liter with 195 hp (146 kW / 198 PS) and 195 lb-ft (265 Nm) of torque.

These engines will likely be offered in the US-spec model and, if that’s the case, the turbocharged 1.6-liter could get a 20 hp (15 kW / 20 PS) boost as the engine is currently rated at 175 hp (131 kW / 177 PS). Of course, we should find out full details on Thursday.
