Active Covid-19 cases in India rose for the second day as fresh infections continued to outpace single-day recoveries.
The country added 2,678 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the 8 a.m. update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Daily recoveries stood at 2,594.
The active tally stood at 26,583.
