India’s active Covid-19 cases declined for the second consecutive day as single-day recoveries continue to outpace new cases.
The country reported 9,062 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, an increase of 2.8% over the previous day, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Aug. 17.
Single-day recoveries reached 15,220. The active tally was at 1.05 lakh.
