Indian stocks are expected to take cues from domestic earnings and global markets this week.

U.S. stocks tumbled on Friday as year-ahead inflation expectations for the first time in seven months. Yield on 10-year Treasuries increased 7 basis points to 4.02%.

The S&P 500 fell 2.4%, whereas the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 decline 3.1%. Meanwhile, oil fell 3.7%, posting a weekly loss amid muted demand outlook. Gold declined 1.7%, whereas Bitcoin grew marginally to trade above the $19,000-level.

On Friday, domestic benchmarks had ended higher, paring weekly losses. Surging banking and information technology stocks countered the decline in oil and gas, and power stocks.

Rupee managed to close higher on Friday against the U.S. dollar even as the local dollar reversed some of its gains.
