Aston Martin’s Latest Product Is A Four-Story Home In Tokyo

Aston Martin has revealed the design of No. 001 Minami Aoyama, a private home that it has styled in concert with VIBROA, a Japanese concierge service.

The home is located in Omotesando, Minami Aoyama, a highly desirable neighborhood within one of Tokyo’s most sought after areas. Renowned for its architecture and style, Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, says that this project celebrates the interplay between the automotive realm and the rest of the design world.

“The influence of Tokyo culture, with its amazing history and style, holds an important creative space within our design studio,” says Reichman. “I see fashion, architectural and even culinary references being considered by our team when developing their work, so its presence can really be felt within our practice. We thought we would return the favor through our first ultra-luxury collaboration in Asia.”

According to Reichman, the exterior of the house is designed to have clean lines and seamless boundaries in order to allow residents to “connect with and experience this unique location.” The four-story home has a two-car garage on the ground floor with a glass rear wall that looks into a room inside the house. Presumably this is to allow owners to appreciate their cars, but does raise the stakes of backing into your spot somewhat.

Inside, Reichman says that his design team sought to cater to the senses by “using a holistic combination of elements and materials to create a calm and relaxing space” for owners. Included in the home are an automotive gallery, a wine cellar, a home cinema, a gym, and a private spa.

“As Aston Martin grows in Japan, we are passionate about finding innovative ways to bring our ultra-luxury brand to life and resonate with local consumers,” said Greg Adams, Aston Martin’s regional president for Japan and South Korea. “We are delighted to be working with VIBROA, helping create what we believe is a perfect home for an Aston Martin owner, with design elements inspired by our breathtaking portfolio of ultra-luxury and high-performance cars.”

Just the latest Aston Martin residence, No. 001 Minami Aoyama, joins projects in New York, and Miami. No price was listed for this latest home, but the automaker did reveal that it has already been bought.
