Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix To Be Displayed At Top Marques Monaco

The viewing public will finally get to see the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix in the sheet metal. That said, there won’t be many people who get the opportunity because it will be displayed at Top Marques Monaco.

The event is run under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco and is considered by many to be the most exclusive car show in the world. Fittingly, Bugatti is a core presenter at the event.

Besides getting to hobnob with royalty, the show is actually a pretty good setting for the car’s public debut. In addition to giving the newly opened Bugatti Monaco dealership a way to make a splash, it is also relevant to the man who inspired the car.

Not only was the name of the car inspired by Louis Chiron, one of the most successful racing drivers of the early 20th century, the Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix was specifically inspired by the driver’s exploits.

The paint scheme and details of this special edition were inspired by Chiron’s Bugatti Type 51, which he took to victory at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1931, making him the only Monegasque driver to ever win the fabled race, though that might not have been the case if the Ferrari F1 team actually employed a strategy department in this year’s event…

The Chiron features hand-painted details such as the number 32, which was also present on Louis’ car when he won the 1931 French Grand Prix. The EB pattern on the fenders and a silver inscription inside the vehicle are also hand-painted as part of the Bugatti Sur Mesure program, which offers buyers the opportunity to customize their vehicles extensively.

Along with the Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix, Bugatti Monaco will also display a unique Chiron Sport ‘110 Ans BUGATTI” edition and a 2010 Veyron Grand Sport finished in Italian red and black Pur Sang with a carmine red interior.

The hypercars will be on display for the length of the Top Marques Monaco show, which runs from June 9 until June 12.
