Move aside Tom Cruise, we have another Maverick on our hands!
Carl Mullan showed off his daredevil side when he took to the skies with the Irish Air Corps.
He didn’t balk as he hopped onto the highway to the dangerzone, although his breath may have been taken away once or twice.
Okay, sorry, enough Top Gun puns!
He got the opportunity to jet off with the aerobatic display team this week where he was spun around thousands of feet in the sky.
“I am a little bit nervous,” he could be heard saying as he got into the plane.
“I have to focus on not getting sick and not touching anything.”
Solid plans by Carl there!
As the plan turned upside down, he was informed they were flying over Athy.
“Athy looks stunning upside down I have to say,” Carl joked.
However, when he landed he confessed: “I got sick in my mouth, but didn’t get fully sick. Nothing ended up outside.”
2FM captioned the video: “What else can we get Carl to do @carlmullan took to the skies with the @irish_air_corps Aerobatic Display Team ahead of @brayairdisplay this weekend.”
The Bray Air Display will kick off on Saturday July 23rd before the main show which will take place from noon on Sunday.
