DMC Makes Ferrari Purosangue Wider And Louder

For those who managed to snag one of the sold-out Ferrari Purosangue SUVs and want to give it their own touch, German tuner DMC is preparing a carbon-fiber widebody kit alongside a louder titanium exhaust system.

The tuner says that the Purosangue “is very agile but its look lacks a bit of spice”, so it wanted to “add a bit more sport” to the performance SUV. In typical DMC fashion, the bodykit was previewed in a series of renderings in a warehouse environment.

The highlight of the kit are the fender extensions which are 30 mm (1.2 inches) wider than stock and feature integrated vents. The tuner says they can fit wheels with a diameter of up to 24 inches. The example in DMC’s renders is equipped with 24-inch Velocita directional forged wheels finished in matt black.

It also includes a front lip, hood trims, rocker panels, and rear diffuser made from carbon fibre  that stay true to the factory design. On the other hand, the double rear spoiler – roof spoiler and trunk lip duo – is something that won’t go unnoticed. All of the aforementioned parts are made of prepreg carbon fiber, which claim to make the Ferrari SUV lighter. They are available in matte or high-gloss finish depending on the owner’s preferences.

DMC didn’t touch the V12 engine which still makes 715 hp (533 kW / 725 PS) and 715 Nm (528 lb-ft) of torque right from the Maranello factory. However, they are offering a new sports exhaust for those not satisfied with how the stock unit sounds. The flow-formed titanium exhaust was specifically developed for the Ferrari Purosangue by the German company Zesad GmbH. Thanks to a valve-controlled system, it provides a louder sound experience on demand from the quad tailpipes.

DMC hasn’t communicated pricing but we’re sure that whoever bought the Purosangue is not facing financial hurdles. This is probably one of the many tuning options for Ferrari’s first SUV as we expect more tuners to join the game in the near future.
