What Was The Most Disappointing New Car Of 2022?

We wouldn’t go so far as to say that 2022 was a lousy year for cars, but there were indeed some new additions to the market that fell a tad short. For example, the Toyota bZ4X and its Subaru Solterra twins were plagued with problems, while the Hyundai Santa Cruz was outclassed by the Maverick and for less money. What do you think is the biggest letdown of the year?

Donkervoort has revealed its F22 supercar, featuring a design that is instantly recognizable from the Dutch manufacturer and an Audi-sourced turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine producing 492 hp (367 kW / 500 PS) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque. We got behind the wheel of the 2022 Lexus GX 460 — an old-school off-roader in more ways than one, but primarily because this generation was first introduced back in 2009. Michael Schumacher’s Benetton B192, James Hunt’s Hesketh 308b, and the Le Mans-winning Porsche 962 were all highlights. But even the less successful cars of their era managed to stir the trackside emotions thanks to the eargasm they offered.
