A gorgeous Porsche 964 has been comprehensively restored and modified thanks to DP Motorsport.
The company, led by Patrick Zimmermann, has a wealth of experience with classic 911s and in this case, left no stone unturned in transforming the sports car and making it even more impressive than it was when it left the Porsche factory.
To build this 964, known as the Classic RSR, DP Motorsport has fitted it with hand-made body components made from a lightweight mixture of carbon fiber and Kevlar. It has also been equipped with new front fenders, rear side glass, a distinctive hood, new front aprons, side doors with green tinted Plexiglass and a new roof skin.
Further adding to the desirability of the car are a set of forged Fuchs wheels measuring 15×9 at the front and 15×11 at the rear and wrapped in 225/50 front and 285/40 rear Michelin TB5 tires. Suspension sourced from KW is also featured, not only lowering the ride height of the car but also improving the handling.
Adorning the exterior of the classic is a lovely shade known as Stonegrey that has been paired with decorative stripes painted in Burgundy Red.
Extensive work has also been done to the powertrain of the 964, so much so that it now pumps out 320 hp and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque, some 70 hp more than a standard model. These gains were achieved by increasing the engine’s displacement to 3.8-liters while also developing a bespoke exhaust system made from lightweight stainless steel. Coupled to the engine is a five-speed manual transmission.
DP Motorsport has also modified the interior of the 964 with a welded roll cage, belt braces and a rear cross bar, bucket seats clad in synthetic leather and Alcantara, four-point Schroth harnesses, a Momo sports steering wheel, lightweight dashboard panels, and perforated pedal boards.
