Fresh Covid-19 cases in India rose from a day earlier, crossing the 2,000-mark yet again.
The country added 2,139 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the 8 a.m. update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday. Daily recoveries stood at 3,208.
Higher recoveries than additions continue to keep the active tally in check.
