The Indian rupee depreciated against the U.S. dollar on Monday.The local currency opened 9 paisas weaker at 81.77. It closed at 81.68 on Friday.In the morning trade, the rupee had depreciated by as much as 15 paise to 81.83.At 10:30 a.m., the rupee traded at 81.73, 0.07% weaker.The rupee had hit a record low of 83.29 on Oct. 20.
