Indian Rupee Nears 80/$ As It Hits New Low For Fourth Day In A Row

The Indian rupee depreciated against the U.S. dollar to hit a new low for the fourth straight day.

The domestic currency slid 0.2% so far on Thursday at 79.81 against the greenback. The rupee is on course to post its biggest decline since July 5, when it lost 0.5%.

In the previous session, the rupee had closed at 79.63.

The rupee’s depreciation coincides with the Euro sliding below dollar parity on Wednesday for the first time in 20 years.
