So what exactly will becoming a member of BAFTA mean for Laura? Well, according to the email she will, “become part of a leading global arts charity, amplifying and celebrating excellence across the screen industries and driving positive change through the power of film, games and television.

“Members are at the heart of everything we do and play an integral role in upholding BAFTA’s commitment to supporting the growth of creative talent by creating an inclusive and accessible industry for all. At this critical time for the industry, our membership is evolving, and we’re delighted that you will become a part of our future .”

Laura got her start in the industry after winning a competition for MTV, becoming the face of MTV News in Europe in 2008.

Since then her career exploded, getting jobs hosting I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW!, joining the UK’s Eurovision Song Contest broadcast as a commentator, and appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.

A massive congratulations to Laura!
