Manhart Previews Tuned BMW M3 Touring With 641 HP

The BMW M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe duo were recently joined by the M3 Touring, combining similar performance credentials with extra practicality. Manhart has already played around with the M3 sedan, so it was about time for them to announce their tuning kit for the estate which is called MH3 650 Touring.

The new model is previewed by a set of renderings featuring the classic gold-on-black decal set with Manhart badging. The carbon package includes a front splitter, bumper-mounted aero flicks, side skirt extensions, a rear spoiler, and a new diffuser. The MH3 650 Touring rides on the 21-inch Manhart Concave One alloy wheels finished in silk matte black or in any desired color.

As noted by the numbers on its name, the MH3 650 Touring is more powerful than the MH3 600 sedan. In fact, with the help of the MHtronic auxiliary control unit and no change in the hardware, the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine produces 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. This matches the MH3 GTR which is the most powerful tuned M3 coming from Wuppertal.

The model also sounds better thanks to a new exhaust system featuring valve control, optional racing downpipes with or without catalytic converters, or OPF-delete pipes. Manhart didn’t mention chassis upgrades but you can always spec the MH3 650 Touring with H&R lowering springs or full-blown KW coilovers like the regular MH3.

Manhart will be happy to turn any M3 Touring into an MH3 650, calling all interested parties to contact the tuner via the official website for pricing and availability.
