Good morning and welcome to our daily digest of automotive news from around the globe, starting with…
Looks Like 50%+ Markups Are Becoming The Norm For The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla
Market adjustments and hotly anticipated cars go hand in hand, but the rate at which prices are being inflated continues to surprise/impress/shock us. The latest car to see 50%+ markups comes in the form of the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla, with a dealer in Virginia asking a whopping $60,037 — and that’s not even for the Morizo or Circuit edition; it’s for the base Core edition.
The Manual Returns To The 2023 Dodge Hellcat Challenger For One Final Year
The Dodge Challenger with the beloved Hellcat motor will be exiting stage left in the near future, and its death is being commemorated by a number of special editions. But now it seems that’s not the only surprise Dodge has in store for us, as there will also be a proper manual option available for the 2023MY after the stickshift was dropped from the Hellcat back in late 2021.

Lucid May Introduce A Tesla Model 3 Rival In The Near Future
Could Lucid be readying an all-new Tesla Model 3 rival in the near future? Speaking to Automotive News, Derek Jenkins, Lucid’s senior VP of design and brand, said that Lucid is “not just making luxury cars,” but rather is about “technology, efficiency, it’s about taking the EV experience to a new level.” This could suggest that Lucid will follow the path set by Tesla and field a smaller entry-level offering like the Model 3. The silhouette of a smaller sedan has already been seen, albeit under wraps, in a video posted to Lucid’s YouTube channel.
