Super Rare, Super Gorgeous Blu Celeste Alfa Romeo 8C Spider Could Be Yours

The Alfa Romeo 8C Spider was once called “probably the world’s most beautiful Spider in production today” by the company’s then-CEO. More than a decade later, its timeless styling remains highly attractive. Now, one of the 500 ever made has become available at auction and it features a very unique color combination.

The 8C Spider is the drop-top version of the hardtop 8C Competizione. Both cars share the same 4.7-liter Ferrari and Maserati-based naturally aspirated V8 engine. It develops 450 hp (335 kW) and 347 lb-ft (470 Nm) of torque and sends it to the rear tires through a six-speed paddle-shift gearbox.

The powertrain allows the 8C Spider to go from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). Sure, it won’t keep up with the more serious supercars of its day or now, but it’s a playful powertrain inside of a rolling piece of artwork. Of course, this particular example has such low mileage that it seems unlikely that the original owner had much fun with it.

According to the RM Sotheby’s listing, it has just 514 miles (828 km) on the odometer. We can understand not wanting to get this beauty dirty but such low mileage on a car like this seems like a crime. This combination of Blu Celeste paint with its red soft top and red/black interior is very rare among the 500 8C Spiders.

The benefit of buying a car like this, especially one with such low mileage, is often that it’ll come with all of its original paperwork and accessories. That’s also the case here as the next owner of this 8C Spider will also get a factory-issued framed picture of the car, a commemorative book, and manuals. It even comes with the original production sheet from Museo Storico Alfa Romeo and a pair of garment bags that match the interior.

Here’s us hoping that the next owner puts this car on the road where it belongs.
