Ryan Andrews got down on bended knee last August and asked Michaela O’Neill to marry him on a beach in Wicklow.
The couple first started going out when they were just 15 years old and now the countdown is on to make it down the aisle.
Reminiscing on their proposal, Michaela enthused that it was just one more year until they are officially husband and wife.
She posted a video from when they first got engaged on her Instagram Stories and wrote: “This day next year!!!!! 22/07/23”.
The pair headed down to the same beach where they got engaged with Ryan writing: “Back where it all began!”
Ryan previously told VIP Magazine last year when they moved in together: “We’ve been together since we were about 15, and met each other when we were 11 but this is our first time living together. We’ve always been around each other. We’ve never spent a day apart.
“If you can go on holidays and there’s no trouble, you know you can live together [laughs]. Our relationship has grown so much since moving in together.”
He also spoke about their future plans, admitting that they were eager to start a family.
“Michaela wants about six kids [laughs]. We love children; we teach kids, Michaela has loads of nieces and nephews and we love them. Having the house, we’re setting up our life for the future. It’s not going to happen any time soon, but starting a family is definitely on the cards.”
Chatting with the Irish Mirror Ryan shared more details on what will be an intimate ceremony.
“We are getting married in Majorca next year, we went on our mid-term break to check out the location, the first time we’ve been off in 18 years”
“We’ve got the venue booked and a date, we are over the moon.”
