The 11th and final contestant of Dancing On Ice has just been revealed and it’s none other than Irishman, Siva Kaneswaran.
Yes, The Wanted Star will join ten other celebrities who will all embark on the ultimate challenge as they take to the ice each week, skating live in an attempt to impress both the panel and the public.
This news comes after a TV insider previously told The Sun: “He’s a great signing for the show – The Wanted still have a huge loyal fanbase.”
Adding: “After all the boys have been through this year with losing their bandmate Tom Parker, fans will be willing him to go all the way in Tom’s memory.”
Some of the celebrities Siva will be up against tinlcude, Comedian Darren Harriott, Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher, EastEnders star Patsy Palmer, Liberty X star Michelle Heaton and Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the singer jokingly admitted he didn’t know why he had signed up for Dancing On Ice and even revealed his only experience on an ice rink was skating with a toy penguin for support.
He also shared how his fellow bandmate Tom Parker who died in March after a battle with brain cancer, was one of his inspirations for signing up for the show.
“He (Tom) taught me so much about life and not to be afraid – that’s one of the reasons I am doing the show.”
Siva went on to say that bandmate Jay, who triumphed on Strictly, would also be on-hand in the studio for support.
Adding: “Jay has given me some words of encouragement which have been very invaluable.”
“He will be my lucky charm.”
Dancing On Ice returns for a new season early next year.
